The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) Women’s Civic League of Cheyenne (WCLC) was organized in 1948 and is dedicated to improving the community of Cheyenne and Laramie County through scholarships, direct grants and service projects.

These projects are initiated by the members or in collaboration with other non-profit organizations, charities, schools, or governmental agencies. Equally important, is the development and support of each member as she becomes a valued contributor to our community and club.

We are proud to have granted, financed, or supported the requests of over 200 different organizations and special events in and around Cheyenne as well as helping to improve the quality of life of countless individuals.

Over $1 million has been returned to our community in a variety of ways from projects as diverse as conservation projects and city park development, to education scholarships for young people and non-traditional women students returning to school, to support for the homeless to name just a very few.

Our success is the collective expression of the individual commitment of our members to be active, involved and supportive of our Club’s endeavors.
